Elisa Bombarda, a member of the Biophotonics of Molecular and Cellular Interactions team led by Yves Mély, has been selected as a recipient of the IdEx – Research Support Fund 2026 call for proposal !
Her project, « Light from the dark: what the dark states of fluorophores can tell », was selected as part of the University of Strasbourg’s France 2030 Initiatives of Excellence.
Her project, “Light from the Dark: What the Dark States of Fluorophores Can Tell,” was selected as part of the University of Strasbourg’s France 2030 Initiatives of Excellence.
The goal is to develop an innovative optical device to explore the dark states of fluorophores, with promising applications in molecular biophysics, cellular metabolism, and high-resolution microscopy.
A bold approach to illuminating the invisible and gaining a better understanding of the mechanisms of life.
Congratulations Elisa !
