Biophotonics of the molecular and cellular interactions (BIMC Team)

Research areas  Team leader: Yves Mély

The team BIMC is a multidisciplinary team of physicists, biophysicists, chemists and biologists. Structured around 3 areas of research, the team's focus is to develop and characterise fluorescent probes, innovative fluorescence microscopies, lipid-binding proteins and delivery strategies in order to determine the molecular mechanisms involved in infections and cancer, thereby opening up new therapeutic avenues.

The team is one member of the research and development teams of the Alsace Node (headed by Y. Mély) of France Bioimaging and plays a key role in the management of the PIQ-Quest platform (headed by L. Richert and Frédéric Przybilla), based at LBP.
