The LBP present at the science festival!

Our Laboratory took part in the Science Festival, on the weekend of 13-15 October, at the Palais Universitaire de Strasbourg, in collaboration with the Woodlight start-up. Woodlight is a start-up based in Strasbourg with which we collaborated as part of the ANR BIOLUM project led by Pascal Didier.

This startup develops genetically modified plants able to emit bioluminescence. Our expertise in quantitative fluorescence imaging allowed us to measure the amount of light emitted by the first generations of plants produced by Woodlight.

On the stand "Light of physical or biological origin is incredible", small workshops were organized to present the different mechanisms of light emission: fluorescence, phosphorescence, chemiluminescence and bioluminescence.

During this mediation it was also possible to highlight Woodlight's ecological project.
