Beatrice Roche joined the team Bacteriocins and antibiotic resistance within the LBP, December 1st, 2022. She will work on the use of klebicins as antibiotic vectors to fight Klebsiella pneumoniae infections.
Career: After a PhD on the study of the Frataxin protein in the biogenesis of iron-sulfur centers in Escherichia coli (Laboraoire de Chimie Bactérienne, Marseille), Beatrice Roche worked as a post-doc on iron import pathways in Pseudomonas aeruginosa with the objective of using siderophores as antibiotic vectors (UMR 7242, IRESBS, Illkirch). Then she completed a second post-doctoral fellowship focusing on the role of iron in the progression of Salmonella enterica infections using a mouse model (Biozentrum, Basel). She obtained a position as a research fellow at CNRS in 2022.
